Howling commented "Redstor is at the forefront of this market with a set of world-class, leading-edge products and services, delivering the future of data management, now.
"I couldn't be joining at a better time and I hope to be able to contribute to Redstor's accelerated development and success."
Redstor founder and Chief Executive Paul Evans said: "We are very excited to have Mark join at such a significant time. In the last year we have grown our cloud data management offering by more than 30% internationally.
"Mark's wealth of experience in running companies will be invaluable as we continue to disrupt the market on our way to achieving significant growth."
Howling's appointment follows the recent addition to the board of Tony Bolland as Non-Executive Director, who has helped build three Times Tech-Track 100-featured companies in the enterprise software space including Avecto, AppSense and Vistorm.
In addition to the appointment of Howling and Bolland, Beech Tree's portfolio companies also get the opportunity work with high profile tech-specialists such as Simon Devonshire OBE, who recently hosted a working session at the Annual Beech Tree Growth Forum. Devonshire is currently "Entrepreneur in Residence" for the UK government, and specialises in advising companies on the future of technology and how to leverage it in fast growing businesses.
